Electric Hydraulic Drum Brakes

The YWZ4 Crane drum brakes are widely used for deceleration and parking (holding) braking in various lifting and transport mechanisms, port loading and unloading, metallurgical equipment, mining machinery, and construction machinery.

Main Features
  • The interlocking equal clearance device and automatic alignment device for the brake shoes ensure that the clearance on both sides of the brake shoes remains equal without adjustment, completely preventing one side’s brake pad from sticking to the brake wheel due to uneven clearance.
  • The brake pad uses a clamped integrally molded structure, making replacement very convenient and fast. It is available in various materials, including semi-metal (asbestos-free) hard and semi-hard, as well as soft (asbestos-free) options for users to choose from.
  • All main pivot points are equipped with self-lubricating bearings, ensuring high transmission efficiency and extended service life.
  • The brake spring is arranged inside a square tube and equipped with a scale, allowing users to easily read the braking torque value, eliminating the hassle of measurement and calculation.
  • The matched series of thrusters are highly responsive and durable.

  • Ambient Temperature: -20℃ to +50℃
  • Relative Humidity: ≤90%
  • Voltage Level: Three-phase AC 380V/50Hz
  • Duty Cycle: Continuous (S1) and Intermittent (S3-60%, operation frequency ≤1200 times/hour)
Crane Drum Brakes Additional Devices
  • Manual release device.
  • Brake lining wear limit switch, which signals when the brake lining reaches its wear limit (Note: applicable to brakes with an automatic compensation device).
  • Release (brake open) limit switch, indicating whether the brake is released correctly.
  • With a thruster equipped with a lowering delay valve, the brake can achieve delayed closure to meet specific requirements.
