Characteristics of European crane end beam

The European-style end beam is one of the crucial components of cranes and plays an essential role in supporting the horizontal movement of the crane. Our company boasts a professional design and R&D team, along with advanced testing methods. With a relentless pursuit of excellence and technological innovation, we produce European-style end beams that are not only of superior quality but also reasonably priced. Furthermore, they are easy to maintain and service, making them an indispensable part of your European-style crane.

Composition of the European-style End Beam:

The European-style end beam consists of a European-style three-in-one reduction motor (variable frequency motor, full range electromagnetic brake, and full range hard-tooth surface reducer), European-style rubber buffers, European-style main and auxiliary wheel sets, European-style end beams, rail sweep plates, and more.

Applications of the European-style End Beam:

It is widely used in the running mechanisms of European single and double-beam hoists, European double-beam winch cranes, and other hoisting machinery and equipment.

Classification of European-style End Beams:

European-style end beams are classified into single-beam crane end beams and double-beam crane end beams.

Manufacturing Process of the European-style End Beam:

For end beams with wheels of 250mm and below, we use a special rectangular tube design that is formed in one piece. The workmanship is meticulous, and the surface is shot-blasted, ensuring a smooth and attractive finish. The buffer start design allows for smooth transitions during both startup and braking, preventing load sway and reducing harmful inertia. Additionally, both ends feature photoelectric limit switches to ensure safe stops.
For end beams with wheels above 250mm, we employ steel plate welding for added durability.

Moreover, the rail sweep plate on the European-style end beam is designed with a safety feature to prevent falling.

Features of the European-style End Beam:

The European-style end beam offers several distinct features, including:

  • A modular design with direct drive.
  • A compact structure with high precision.
  • Variable frequency drive for smooth operation.
  • Small-tonnage beams use standard cold-formed hollow steel, while large-tonnage beams are welded from steel plates.
  • Standardized connection methods, allowing for interchangeability.
  • Small dimensions that enhance the effective working area.
  • Reduced factory building height, which lowers construction costs.
  • A small size and light weight, which makes installation easier.

With these features, the European-style end beam stands out as an efficient and reliable component for modern cranes and lifting equipment.
